Quirky Kissing FactIn many cultures, kissing is a common form of greeting. In South America, for example, you may be expected to shake a person’s hand with your right hand and lean in to deliver a kiss on their cheek at the same time. In France, don’t feel surprised if you find strangers kissing both your cheeks! Help them out by turning your head so that the other person doesn’t have to reach as far and reciprocating with your own kisses. When kisses are given as a greeting, they’re delivered quickly and often to the air. Don’t feel like you have to actually kiss the other person’s cheek. Often, you can simply kiss in the general direction of someone’s cheek, without actually landing your kiss. A quick peck will do. The important thing is to make the sound of kissing, which communicates your joy at seeing the other person. Kissing Question of the Week"My girlfriend has said that sometimes my French kissing grosses her out. Is there a way that I can improve my technique?" There are several reasons that your girlfriend might feel grossed out. First of all, if she isn't used to French kissing someone, it may take her a while to get used to it! French kissing can be an "acquired taste" for some people. Second of all, your girlfriend said that it grosses her out sometimes ,,, but not all the time? Does this mean that she feels grossed out when you're French-kissing her at inappropriate times? Remember that a French kiss is particularly intimate. Reserve it for private occasions. Finally, is it your technique that she doesn't like? Too much tongue is one of the biggest problems with French kissing. So finally, she was determined to teach him a lesson. The next time he stuck his tongue too far down her mouth, she bit his tongue! He yelped and sprang back. With his hand over his mouth, he mumbled, "What did you do that for?" "I told you that I didn't like it when you did that," she said. They didn't break up over the affair, but he never ever kissed her like that again. It was a painful lesson to become a better kisser.
